Dow Jones Industrial Average faldt 1 pct. til 9.908. S&P500 faldt 0,9 procent til 1.057, mens Nasdaq Composite dykkede 0,7 pct. til 2.126.
Finansaktierne faldt mest - JP Morgan ned med 1,6 procent og Bank of America tabte 3,5 pct.
Home Depot steg 1,6 pct. efter en opjustering fra Morgan Stanley til Overvægt og Google steg 0,4 pct. efter, at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch lagde aktien på sin "U.S. 1"-liste.
