Danske Bank appoints new head of Personal Banking

 

Danske Bank appoints Jesper Nielsen new head of Personal Banking and member of Danske Bank's Executive Board with effect from 1 October 2016.

 

Jesper Nielsen, who is 47 years old and holds a master of science in economics, has been employed with Danske Bank since 1996 and comes from a position as head of Business Development at Personal Banking. As head of Personal Banking, Jesper Nielsen will be responsible for all of Danske Bank's personal customer business in the Nordics.

 

He will replace Tonny Thierry Andersen, who was appointed head of Danske Bank's new Wealth Management unit with effect from 1 April 2016 and has since then also been acting head of Personal Banking.

 

"In recent years, Personal Banking has seen a very positive trend with higher customer satisfaction and improved financial results. This progress has been driven very much by Jesper as head of Business Development," says Thomas F. Borgen, CEO of Danske Bank. "I am sure that Jesper with his extensive business insight and broad experience from management positions in Denmark and abroad is the right person to continue the positive development and focus on Danske Bank becoming an even more customer-centric, simple and efficient bank."
