NEWHAVEN-DIEPPE CONTRACT SET TO EXPIRE END OF 2015
Copenhagen, 2015-09-11 12:28 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Announcement no. 74
DFDS’ contract for the operation of the publicly owned route between Dieppe in France and Newhaven in England expires at the end of 2015.
The public owner, SMPAT, has now informed DFDS that the ship management and route operation will not be tendered for 2016. DFDS will thus cease to operate the route at the end of the year.
The route’s annual revenue is around DKK 300m.
Limited costs are expected to be incurred in connection with the expiration of the contract. All seafarers and the majority of the shore-based organisation will be taken over by SMPAT.
