As a digital sourcing and services company, Solar drives and reaps the benefits of improving productivity within the construction industry and we believe in digital construction. Therefore, we now supply a complete range of radiators and facilitate the opportunity to digitally design and dimension a heating solution. At the same time, we make it possible to factor in delivery already in the design phase.

The basis of digitalising construction is Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the technology of Swedish BIMobject supports all stakeholders of the value chain. So now, when Solar enters its entire range of Thermrad® radiators, into the world's biggest and fastest growing digital system for content management of BIM objects, it is about much more than selling products.

- We seek out common business opportunities in the interface between BIMobject and Solar and the first innovative step is now a reality. With this complete range, we now facilitate the opportunity to digitally design and dimension a heating solution, points out Hugo Dorph, Chief Commercial Officer.

With the range of radiators, come unique opportunities to link the value of digital products and product information to logistics. For instance, this means that already when modelling a building, you can select products based on availability via Solar Fastbox®.

- Solar works to increase productivity and we believe that digital construction can help create a more efficient process and eliminate waste. Therefore, we emphasise including delivery aspects already in the design phase. An example could be to optimise a solution in regards to efficient building site logistics and facility management. The construction phase is ten times as expensive as the design phase and maintenance during the lifespan of the building is ten times as expensive as the actual construction. So, there are huge savings to be found if you are able to look ahead in the value chain of construction, and here Solar can contribute, emphasises Hugo Dorph, Chief Commercial Officer.

Greater visibility
The digital presence of Solar's Thermrad® radiator range also means greater visibility and direct access to architects and engineers, just as Solar's product range will become well-known within construction and thus more attractive to decision makers in the public sector.

It is expected that a range of different criteria and individual preferences will determine the customers' choice of materials in the future. For instance, it may be a matter of functionality, efficiency and logistics.

- Solar is used to viewing things as a whole and creating total solutions. So when we deliver digital solutions, we of course also consider the actual installation and logistics. To some customers, functionality plays the biggest part, whereas environmental considerations and traceability may be decisive to others. We want to turn our customers into winners and therefore, our package solutions should be able to accomodate it all, points out Peter Pedersen, Vice President, Commercial Market.
